The Los Angeles Lakers are limping into the NBA All-Star break. Another Los Angeles big man, Ronny Turiaf has been slowed by a sore big toe on his right foot, an injury that keeps him from playing extended minutes, Coach Phil Jackson told the Los Angeles Times.

Turiaf was initially injured when the toe was stepped on in Monday's game against Denver. His toe was again stepped on in Wednesday's game against San Antonio.

"Hopefully he can mend as we go through it and we don't push him too hard during this period of time," Jackson said. "But we'll see where it goes. We may have to use him more minutes than I want to."

I think "r.l." notice i put his name in small letters and "usa usa usa" he studders thats why instead of 1 USA he has 3-lol- and also notice his name in small letters- you know what they say- "small letters small d........ ! Now back to this, Lakers as long as we are healthy b4 playoff time and had a little time to get used to each other can run thru ANY TEAM in the west and once we'd get to the finals Kobe will do whats he's been doing best- playing all around basketball- points, ASSISTS and rebounds and will win that ring so he can show everyone it was great they got rid of broken down diesel!

lakers should pickup danny G. from milwaukee, he played at ucla, just sits on the bench, is a defensive player, 6 mil a yr. trade draft rights to sun yue (their 2nd rd pick last year to milwaukee for him. lakers need a defensive player, at 6 mil a year danny G. would come cheap!

turiaf is dominating the lakers in the +/- category each game even though he isn't at all a center...will be great to see what this team can do as turiaf and bynum get healthier, and jordan and javaris get more experienced
