Gilbert Arenas

Gilbert Arenas decided to play last Wednesday against Milwaukee, his first game since missing 66 following left knee surgery, which apparently was a well-kept secret to everyone but Arenas the Boston Globe reported.

He stayed in the locker room as the game began, then jogged out to the bench midway through the first quarter. He then checked into the game, got the obligatory standing O, and proceeded to hit his first four shots. Afterward, Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said he hadn't been told of Arenas's availability.

"I found out," Jordan said. "Let's say it wasn't normal, proper channels."

the wizards are better off without him..it just show how some players love to be in the spotlight!! egocentric! i say he's overrated.. too much to prove yet, defensively and especially in the playoffs..

He was one of the three best scorers in the league last year (behind only Kobe and Lebron), and putting him with a much better surrounding cast this year in no way will hurt the team. Last year the Wizards were leading the NBA record-wise until the injuries started, should they start to gel and have a full squad for the first time all year, the East had better watch out.

they will never have the full team all year round because one of the big threes there will always get injured.

and besides with three of their top players healthy, i dont see them beating or let alone match-up in a 7-game series against orlando or detroit or boston..

Ya he is about me at times i agree.....and he wants a new contract or a opt out soon... yet with GIL in the line up this team can be scarey....if he is at full health..,,,,.it is a shame they keep having major injuries....the last few seasons..... a healthy wizard team can play with just about anyone!!!!!!!!!

I welcome Gil back. Maybe his being out and really seeing that this team can still win without him will change his whole attitude. Addressing the comment that the Wizards will be no match against Boston, Detroit or Orlando....The Wizards beat Boston back to back without Gilbert. Just having him on the floor makes the team better.
