Rasheed Wallace(notes) has been on five NBA teams since he was drafted in 1995, won a championship with the Detroit Pistons, came close twice with the Boston Celtics, and went to the All-Star Game four times.
The Boston Globe is reporting that it looks like he's taken off his high tops for the last time.
Three days before Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Wallace talked to head coach Doc Rivers about the possibility of retiring and talked to him again the night before the final game to let him know he "would leave everything on the floor, coming closer to the realization that he was done," according to the Globe.
Now his agent is saying that he's pretty sure Wallace is done. "If I had to bet my money, I would say he's done,'' agent Bill Strickland told the paper. "But he has not made a final decision yet. But he is leaning toward retiring.''
