TORONTO (AP)—Jalen Rose is tired of all the turmoil

Allen Iverson scored 30 points to help the Philadelphia 76ers beat the struggling Toronto Raptors 106-91 on Friday night.

Rose had 23 points for the Raptors, who have lost four straight.

Fans booed the troubled Raptors off the court. In the last week, point guard Rafer Alston said he was owed an apology after he got into a heated argument with coach Sam Mitchell. Forward Eric Williams also asked for a trade.

“I want to talk about how we’re going to win the worst division in basketball,” Rose said of the Atlantic. “I don’t want to talk about sideshows. I’m done talking about who said what. I’m done talking about what happened behind closed doors.”

Rose called the loss embarrassing and said the players need to be professional despite the controversy surrounding the team. Rose played his best basketball of the season after he was demoted from the stating lineup.

Alston is still waiting for his apology.

“Just to clear the air and let people know I didn’t do anything wrong,” Alston said.

Asked before the game if he challenged Alston to a fight on Tuesday, Mitchell said: “No guys, No. My team is fine.”

The first-yeah coach later acknowledged he needs to control his emotions.

Philadelphia’s Kenny Thomas added 21 points and eight rebounds, and rookie Andre Iguodala had 16 points and eight rebounds. Philadelphia, coming off consecutive losses, outrebounded Toronto 47-33 and outscored the Raptors 20-0 on the fast break.

“That’s what the official score had, I had them for six fast-break points by our calculations,” Philadelphia coach Jim O’Brien said. “But either way it was a good effort to beat them in the open court.”

Iguodala scored 10 straight points in the third quarter before Iverson converted a three-point play and a 3-pointer to give Philadelphia an 11-point lead.

Consecutive jumpers by Iverson made it a 15-point lead in the third.

Toronto closed within 10 in the fourth, but Iguodala capped a 11-4 run with a 3-pointer. Iverson’s fadeaway jumper made it 99-81 with 3:37 left.

Iverson, the NBA’s leading scorer, also had eight assists.

“We feel good about this because they like to run,” Iverson said. “We took that from them and made them play halfcourt offense.”

Notes

Alonzo Mourning and the Raptors agreed on a buyout of his contract, amid speculation the seven-time All-Star center will sign with Miami. The 35-year-old Mourning was acquired from New Jersey in a trade for Vince Carter on Dec. 17 but never reported to the Raptors. … The Raptors recorded their fourth sellout of the season. Many came for Iverson.
