CLEVELAND (TICKER) —The Boston Celtics try to win a 10th straight meeting against the Cleveland Cavaliers when they match up at Gund Arena on Saturday in the back end of a home-and-home series.

At the FleetCenter on Friday, the Celtics defeated the Cavaliers, 104-95, behind 27 points and nine rebounds from Paul Pierce.

With the win, Boston snapped a season-high six-game losing streak, while Cleveland lost its second in a row after its only winning streak.

Eric Williams added 17 points and J.R. Bremer 14, including two 3-pointers during a key 8-0 run early in the fourth quarter, for the Celtics, who had all five starters reach double figures for the first time in more than a year.

Ricky Davis had 31 points, 10 assists and six rebounds and Jumaine Jones 21 points for the Cavs, who shot just 16 free throws to 47 for the Celtics.

Boston has won three in a row over the Cavs here since a loss on November 4, 2000.
