SALT LAKE CITY (TICKER) —The Utah Jazz seek a fifth consecutive victory and try to hand the Portland Trail Blazers a fifth defeat in seven games when the playoff hopefuls meet on Wednesday at the Delta Center.
The Jazz have won four in a row and six of eight, including a 96-91 triumph over Boston here on Monday.
Utah is in sixth place in the powerful Western Conference, one game ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Portland is in fifth, one game behind fourth-place Minnesota and three games in front of Utah.
The Blazers lost their second straight home game on Tuesday, 95-91, to Washington.
The teams split their first two meetings this season, with each winning at home. Utah posted a 95-71 triumph here on January 29.
