AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN (TICKER) —The Detroit Pistons try to post a ninth straight home victory over the Atlanta Hawks when they continue a four-game homestand on Wednesday at The Palace.

The Pistons have won eight in a row at home over the Hawks since an 85-72 setback on March 14, 1999. Detroit has won 14 of 15 at home against Atlanta, including a 91-80 triumph on December 11.

Detroit has won three of four overall, including a 105-82 rout of Chicago on Sunday in the opener of its homestand.

Richard Hamilton scored 26 points and Ben Wallace grabbed 20 rebounds to pace Detroit. Wallace, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, is averaging a league-best 15.3 rebounds per game.

Atlanta had won five of eight before losing to the Los Angeles Lakers at home on Tuesday, 108-91.

Glenn Robinson scored 22 points, Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Ira Newble 15 apiece and Jason Terry 10 with 16 assists for Atlanta, which allowed Kobe Bryant to score 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Lakers pulled away.

The Pistons have won two of three against the Hawks this season, including a 90-86 victory in the last matchup, at Atlanta on January 4.
