MINNEAPOLIS (TICKER) —The Minnesota Timberwolves seek their fourth straight victory when they host the Miami Heat on Tuesday at the Target Center.

The Timberwolves are in a tight race with Portland for fourth place and home-court advantage in a first-round Western Conference playoff series. Minnesota is currently percentage points behind the Trail Blazers, who have two games in hand.

Minnesota has won three straight games, including a 101-94 overtime triumph at San Antonio on Friday.

Kevin Garnett collected 24 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists and Anthony Peeler added 23 points in the win.

Miami has lost nine of 11, including a 96-74 blowout loss to Orlando on Sunday.

Rookie Caron Butler had 19 points to lead the Heat, who shot just 33 percent. Miami allowed Tracy McGrady to score 21 points in the first quarter and 32 by halftime.

Minnesota has won three in a row over Miami, which hosts the Timberwolves on Friday.
