SALT LAKE CITY (TICKER) —The Los Angeles Clippers try to win back-to-back games over the Utah Jazz for the first time in more than 15 years when they match up at the Delta Center on Saturday.

The Clippers had lost 26 consecutive contests at Utah and 15 in a row overall to the Jazz before posting a 96-89 triumph here on January 22. Los Angeles had been 0-22 all time at the Delta Center.

Los Angeles has not won two in a row over Utah since March 25, 1986 and November 10, 1987. The Clippers have not posted consecutive road wins over the Jazz since March 8 and December 20, 1980.

The Clippers have won two of three after losing 11 of 12. On Wednesday, they capped a 2-1 homestand with a 91-78 triumph over Denver.

Wang Zhizhi scored a career-high 21 points in the win.

The Jazz, who are opening a four-game homestand, have won four of six.

On Wednesday, they defeated Phoenix, 99-86, behind 34 points by Karl Malone and 24 by Matt Harpring.
