ORLANDO, FLORIDA (TICKER) —The New Orleans Hornets try to move a season-high 10 games over .500 on Saturday when they complete a four-game road trip against the Orlando Magic at TD Waterhouse Centre.

The Hornets have won 10 of their last 12 games to move nine games over .500. They were a season-high 10 games over .500 (17-7) on December 12.

New Orleans is percentage points behind Boston for fifth place in the Eastern Conference, 4 1/2 games behind first-place Detroit. Orlando is 4 1/2 games behind the Hornets and had a one-half game lead over eighth-place Milwaukee.

New Orleans has split four games following an eight-game winning streak and improved to 2-1 on its road trip with an 87-83 victory at Miami on Friday.

Jamal Mashburn scored eight of his 21 points in the final four minutes and P.J. Brown collected 20 and 14 rebounds for the Hornets, who have outrebounded their opponents in 20 consecutive games.

New Orleans have won six of their last seven games away from home and are 15-19 on the road this season.

Orlando opened a four-game homestand with a 111-108 loss to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.

Tracy McGrady scored 32 points despite 9-of-26 shooting and rookie Gordan Giricek added 13 for the Magic, who have lost three of their last four games after winning seven of eight.

Orlando has lost two of its last three games at TD Waterhouse Centre and is 20-13 here this season.

The Hornets have split two meetings with the Magic this season, with each team winning at home. New Orleans has won four of the last five regular-season meetings with Orlando and eight of the last 13.
