ORLANDO, FLORIDA (TICKER) —The Orlando Magic try to sweep their two games from the Utah Jazz for the first time in nine years when they match up on Wednesday at the TD Waterhouse Centre.

The Magic have not swept the Jazz since the 1993-94 season, when Shaquille O’Neal and Penny Hardaway were their top two scorers. But Orlando defeated Utah at the Delta Center on December 18, 97-90, after losing nine of the previous 11 encounters.

Orlando had won eight of 10 overall before losing at Washington on Tuesday, 106-105.

Tracy McGrady posted his 10th 40-point game of the season and third in four games, scoring 43 points on 16-of-26 shooting. The Magic and the Wizards both shot 53 percent.

The Magic made 11-of-20 3-pointers and limited the Wizards to 0-of-2 from the arc, but Orlando sank only 12-of-17 free throws and Washington made 30-of-32.

Utah had lost five of seven before defeating Miami on Monday, 83-73, to improve to 1-1 on its five-game road trip.

Karl Malone contributed 29 points and 13 rebounds, Matt Harpring added 17 points and John Stockton 14 for the Jazz, who lost by 24 points at Dallas in the opener of the trip.
