The Pacers, who defeated the Hornets here on December 28, in New Orleans three days later and again on the road on February 12, have not swept the Hornets since winning all five matchups during the 1992-93 season.
But Indiana has lost four straight games and 10 of 11. On Sunday, the Pacers capped a winless four-game road trip with a 107-88 setback at Sacramento.
The Pacers were playing without forward Ron Artest, who served a one-game suspension for picking up his sixth flagrant foul point of the season against Portland on Saturday.
The Hornets, who are opening a four-game road trip, had won a season-high eight straight games before falling to New Jersey on Sunday, 102-92.
New Orleans activated point guard Baron Davis on Monday, and he is expected to play Tuesday. Davis, who is averaging 16.8 points and 6.9 assists, had missed the team’s last 20 contests after tearing cartilage in his left knee.
