MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE (TICKER) —The Boston Celtics hope to have Paul Pierce back in their lineup when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday at The Pyramid.

Pierce has missed the Celtics’ last two games, both against Toronto, because of a strained lower back suffered while slipping on ice last week.

On Sunday, Boston lost at Toronto, 104-92. Antoine Walker scored a season-high 38 points but was ejected after picking up two technicals down the stretch.

Eric Williams and rookie J.R. Bremer added 12 points apiece for Boston, which was outrebounded, 47-32.

Memphis hast lost four of its last six games, including a 114-87 blowout defeat at Dallas on Saturday.

Pau Gasol scored 25 points and Stromile Swift added 16 for the Grizzlies, who led by seven points early in the third quarter before falling apart.

The Celtics have won three in a row over the Grizzlies, including a 96-89 victory at home on December 31.
