CHICAGO (TICKER) —A pair of struggling Central Division teams meet Friday at the United Center when the Chicago Bulls host the Atlanta Hawks.

Atlanta is one-half game ahead of Chicago for fifth place in the division. Both teams have been disappointing as the Hawks fired coach Lon Kruger in late December and Bulls coach Bill Cartwright is rumored to be in trouble.

Jalen Rose scored 26 points and Eddy Curry added 24 on 10-of-13 shooting as Chicago won its second straight with a 103-95 victory over Toronto on Wednesday. Rookie Jay Williams added 14 points and six assists.

Chicago has not won three straight since December 14-18.

Atlanta fell to 1-4 on a seven-game road trip with Wednesday’s 93-76 loss at Seattle. Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Hawks, who shot 38 percent (26-of-68).

The Hawks have a potential problem to deal with off the court since there is a warrant in the state of Illinois for the arrest of forward Glenn Robinson. The authorities said they would pursue the case once Robinson returns to the state.

The Hawks have dropped eight of 10 games and finish this trip at Milwaukee on Sunday.

Chicago and Atlanta have split two meetings this season.
