ORLANDO, FLORIDA (TICKER) —The Orlando Magic will play their first game with talented rookies Drew Gooden and Gordan Giricek on Friday night when they face the Chicago Bulls.

Orlando acquired Gooden and Giricek on Wednesday from Memphis, giving up Mike Miller and rookie Ryan Humphrey in the deal. The Magic felt they addressed their lack of size with Gooden and added a strong perimeter threat in Giricek - the two players are combining to average over 23 points per game.

The Magic can notch consecutive victories for the first time since a three-game winning streak from January 19-22. Orlando rallied from a 16-point deficit after one quarter as Tracy McGrady scored 24 points.

Orlando is in a virtual tie with Washington for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. McGrady owns a 2-9 career postseason record.

Chicago missed a chance at a three-game winning streak with a 110-82 loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday. The Bulls were outscored, 36-8, in the third quarter.

The Bulls own the worst road record in the NBA at 3-27, but won their ast game on the road with Tuesday’s 107-101 victory at Cleveland. Jalen Rose scored 28 points to lead the way.

The teams have split two meetings, with each winning at home. Orlando has won eight straight at home against Chicago.
