SALT LAKE CITY (TICKER) —The surging Minnesota Timberwolves seek a season-high seventh straight victory when they visit the Utah Jazz on Monday.
The Timberwolves, who also won six in a row from January 18-27, tied their franchise-record 12-game home winning streak with a 109-102 triumph over Golden State on Sunday.
Kevin Garnett had a spectacular performance for Minnesota, contributing a season-high 37 points, a season high-tying 22 rebounds, six assists and five blocks.
Wally Szczerbiak added 23 points and Troy Hudson added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who shot 48 percent and limited the Warriors to just under 40 percent.
Utah has won three of four, including a 109-77 victory over Washington on Friday after a season-worst 30-point loss to Houston here on Wednesday.
Karl Malone collected 23 points and 11 rebounds, Andrei Kirilenko 20 and Matt Harpring 17 for the Jazz, who had Jerry Sloan on the bench for the first time since serving a seven-game suspension for shoving an official at Sacramento on January 28.
The Jazz won the first two games in their series against the Timberwolves, including a 95-77 triumph here on November 29.
Utah has won the last three meetings with Minnesota and is 23-6 all time at home against the Timberwolves.
