MILWAUKEE (TICKER) —The Milwaukee Bucks seek to cap a successful homestand with their fourth straight victory on Sunday when they play host to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Milwaukee is 5-2 on an eight-game homestand after an impressive 96-86 victory over Detroit on Friday. Tim Thomas scored 21 points and Sam Cassell added 16 for Milwaukee, which is four games over the .500 mark for the first time this season.

This game is a critical one for Milwaukee, which begins a four-game Pacific Division road trip on Tuesday. The Bucks’ difficult trek has stops in Sacramento, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles to face the Clippers.

Memphis posted a 95-84 home victory over Milwaukee in the first meeting between the teams on December 20. Wesley Person scored 23 points and Pau Gasol added 18 as the Grizzlies outscored the Bucks in the fourth quarter, 31-14.

Cassell led Milwaukee with 19 points and Tim Thomas scored 18. The Bucks received a poor effort from Ray Allen, who made 6-of-18 shots for 14 points.

The Bucks are 8-5 all time against the Grizzlies, including a 4-2 mark in Milwaukee.

Memphis is 3-21 on the road and fell to 1-1 after the All-Star break with a 110-103 home loss to Dallas on Friday. Gasol collected 25 points and seven rebounds while Jason Williams chipped in with 15 points.

Gasol is averaging 18.3 points and 8.8 rebounds to lead the team in both departments. Memphis has lost 14 of its last 17 games.
