ORLANDO, FLORIDA (TICKER) —The Portland Trail Blazers try to extend their winning streak over the Orlando Magic to eight games on Tuesday when they continue a three-game road trip at TD Waterhouse Centre.
The Trail Blazers have won the last seven meetings with the Magic, including a 98-84 victory at the Rose Garden on November 20. Orlando has not defeated Portland since a 102-87 triumph here on March 20, 1998.
The Trail Blazers have won 20 of their last 25 games and opened their road trip with a 114-95 rout over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.
Rasheed Wallace scored 14 of his 29 points in the opening 10 minutes and is averaging 31.7 points in his last three games. Dale Davis and Damon Stoudamire each scored 12 points as Portland won for the seventh time in eight games.
The Blazers have won 12 of their last 15 road games and are 16-10 away from the Rose Garden this season.
Orlando has dropped four of its last five games, including a 97-89 road loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.
Tracy McGrady scored 38 points, breaking the team record he set earlier this season by reaching 30 points for the eighth consecutive game. The Magic shot only 8-of-31 on 3-pointers and Mike Miller and Pat Garrity combined to made 2-of-12.
Orlando has lost five of its last seven home games to fall to 14-10 at TD Waterhouse Centre.
