PHOENIX (TICKER) —The Phoenix Suns return from a tough road trip and seek a 12th straight home win when they host the Los Angeles Lakers in a Pacific Division matchup on Wednesday.

Phoenix went 1-4 on its trip against Eastern Conference teams, but has won 11 in a row at America West Arena since a 100-90 overtime loss to the Miami Heat on December 2.

After playing 10 of their previous 13 games away from home, the Suns play seven of their next eight contests in Phoenix.

On Monday, Stephon Marbury scored 29 points and fellow All-Star Shawn Marion added 21 and 13 rebounds for the Suns in a 98-93 setback to the Washington Wizards.

The Lakers have dropped three of their last four games following a five-game winning streak that got them within two games of .500.

Shaquille O’Neal had 27 points and 13 rebounds but missed eight of 13 free throws in Friday’s 89-83 loss to the New Jersey Nets. O’Neal, a reserve for the Western Conference in the All-Star Game, missed 2-of-6 free throws in the final two minutes Friday.

Kobe Bryant, who will start in the All-Star Game, had a season-low 11 points against the Nets.

The Lakers and Suns home-and-home series earlier this month with the home team posting victories. Los Angeles has won 22 of the last 28 matchups with the Suns.
