DALLAS (TICKER) —The Dallas Mavericks will try to snap their season-high three-game losing streak when they host the Houston Rockets Tuesday night at the American Airlines Center.

Dallas closed out a four-game road trip with losses at Sacramento, Phoenix and Seattle. The Mavericks fell to the SuperSonics 85-81 on Sunday, but will return home, where they are 18-2 and have the best record in the Western Conference.

The Mavericks defeated the Rockets, 103-90, on November 30, but rookie center Yao Ming stole the show for the Rockets, collecting 30 points and 16 rebounds.

Yao had 11 points and eight rebounds on Monday, but it was not enough in an 87-82 loss to San Antonio. Coach Rudy Tomjanovich has a history of sticking with players with the hot hand, and elected to sit both Yao and star guard Steve Francis in the fourth quarter.

Francis shot 1-of-12 from the field on Monday and scored just four points. Francis scored 22 points on 9-of-20 shooting against Dallas in November.

The Texas rivals split their four games last season, with each team winning once on the other’s home floor.
