ATLANTA (TICKER) —The New York Knicks attempt to hand the Atlanta Hawks a 10th defeat in 12 games when the struggling teams match up at Philips Arena on Saturday.

The Hawks have dropped three straight contests and seven of nine in January.

On Friday, Atlanta capped an 0-3 road trip with a 106-93 setback at San Antonio. Jason Terry scored 21 points and Shareef Abdur-Rahim added 17, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

New York has lost six of eight, including a 99-82 defeat at Detroit on Friday.

Shandon Anderson and Kurt Thomas scored 16 points apiece to pace the Knicks, but Latrell Sprewell added just 11 and Allan Houston nine.

The Knicks scored a season-low 11 points in the third quarter.

New York won three of its four games against Atlanta last season, but the Hawks have won six of seven at home in the series.
