Hudson, the team’s starting point guard, missed Wednesday’s victory at the Los Angeles Clippers with a sprained left ankle. He is averaging 14.0 points per game and is shooting for a return either Friday or Saturday at Portland.
Kevin Garnett scored 21 points and Kendall Gill added 13 as the Timberwolves used terrific defense for a 95-64 rout of the Clippers on Wednesday. The 64 points was the fewest allowed by the Timberwolves in franchise history.
The Timberwolves handed out 29 assists on 38 baskets ad Rod Strickland had seven and Garnett added six. Minnesota did not allow more than 20 points in any quarter.
Minnesota has won both meetings with Golden State this season and 19 of the last 25 matchups. Garnett averaged 21.0 points and 14.5 rebounds in the two wins while Jason Richardson averaged 27.0 points for the Warriors.
Antawn Jamison finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds as Golden State cruised to a 108-80 rout of Cleveland on Wednesday in its last game. Richardson netted 16 points and Gilbert Arenas had 14 and 11 assists.
Earl Boykins scored just eight points and has only 23 in his last three outings, Boykins scored 20 points in a loss at Minnesota on January 8.
The Warriors are 11-9 at home while Minnesota sports an 8-12 road record.
