MINNEAPOLIS (TICKER) —The Minnesota Timberwolves try to extend their home winning streak to three games on Monday when they host the lowly Denver Nuggets at the Target Center.

The Timberwolves have won five of their last six games at home, where they are 12-5 this season. They have lost six of their last 11 overall games, with four of those losses coming on the road.

Minnesota’s road losing streak reached three games with a 105-91 loss to the lowly Toronto Raptors on Sunday. The Timberwolves fell to 0-7 following consecutive wins this season.

Kevin Garnett scored 26 points and Gary Trent added 14 for the Timberwolves, who trailed by as many as 23 points and helped end the Raptors 12-game losing streak.

Wally Szczerbiak played his second straight game since returning from a toe injury and scored 13 points.

Denver had won two in a row - just its second winning streak of the season - before falling to Houston on the road on Saturday, 87-85.

Juwan Howard scored 19 points and rookie Junior Harrington 17 for Denver, which scored more points in the fourth quarter (35) than it did in the first half (33).

The Timberwolves won the first two games between the teams this season, 83-77, here on October 30 and, 92-84, at Denver on December 9.

Minnesota has won 18 of 25 overall against Denver.
