G Sebastian Telfair showed flashes of excellence in Saturday's setback to the Dallas Mavericks. He finished with 12 points, four assists and five rebounds and was instrumental in rallying the Clippers back from a 12-point deficit in the third and fourth quarters. His clutch jumpers allowed starting point guard Baron Davis to get some extra rest, and the team will benefit greatly if he can avoid mistakes like fouling Dallas' Jason Terry on a 3-pointer at the end of the first half while getting his teammates involved and scoring when necessary. |

Telfair had his best game as a Clipper, scoring 12 points and dishing out four assists in a loss to the Mavericks on Saturday evening. Recommendation: Telfair played the entire fourth quarter as Mike Dunleavy rewarded the back-up point guard for getting his team back into the game after falling behind by 12 early in the period. This doesn't represent a shift in status for Telfair but it's nice to know the new acquisition is gaining the trust of his head coach. |
