Gordon missed Friday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers and it's uncertain when he'll return from a left ankle sprain. Advice: Gordon turned his ankle before halftime of Wednesday's 98-88 loss to Cleveland and did not return. Coach John Kuester said he wasn't sure how long the injury would sideline the six-year veteran, who began the night tied for 16th among NBA scorers with 19.8 points per game. Gordon signed a $55 million, five-year contract last summer after starring for the Chicago Bulls in his first five seasons. Rookie Austin Daye made his first career start in his place. |

G Ben Gordon says he has "no idea" of the severity of his ankle sprain. He was injured after getting sandwiched by Mo Williams and LeBron James while driving to the basket. Gordon leads the Pistons with a 19.8 ppg scoring average. His injury also leaves Charlie Villanueva as the team's only 3-point threat. |
