Wade Leads Heat to Victory Against Magic: Fan Reaction

The Miami Heat got some payback against the Orlando Magic on March 18, evening out the season series between the two teams with their 91-81 victory.

With the win, the Heat moved a little closer to the Eastern Conference leading Chicago Bulls, while distancing themselves from the third place Magic.

The Heat didn't waste any time against the Magic, building up a nine point lead by the end of the first quarter. The Magic fought back in second quarter, cutting Miami's lead to three points by halftime. The game remained competitive for a majority of the second half, but Miami started pulling away in the final minutes, thanks to some clutch plays by the "big three."

"When you play the Orlando Magic, you have to stay the course," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told reporters after the game. "You know at times, they're going to knock down some threes. No matter up or down, there are going to be some highs and lows."

Dwyane Wade played extremely well against the Magic, finishing with a game-high 31 points. Wade also had 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

Chris Bosh was Miami's second highest scorer, putting up 23 points and 7 rebounds. LeBron James had a poor shooting night against the Magic, converting on only 4 of his 14 field goal attempts. He found other ways to contribute though, walking away with 14 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals.

"If I'm not getting it going scoring, it's time to focus on something else," LeBron told reporters. "I try to be a complete basketball player."

While the "big three" did their jobs against the Magic, the same can't be said about the bench players. Once again, Miami's role players—with the exception of Mario Chalmers, who finished with 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists—put on a dismal performance, putting up a combined 16 points. The poor play of the Heat's role players is becoming a serious issue, and it's about time Spoelstra gets everyone on the same page.

Miami's next game will be against the Phoenix Suns on March 20.
