Here's a look at the best single-game performers in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks on Tuesday, February 21, 2012.
While Jamison led the Cavaliers in scoring, Kyrie Irving and Daniel Gibson made key free throws in the final seconds of the game to secure the one-point victory over the Detroit Pistons. In 40 minutes, Jamison went 11 of 22 from the field, three of five from three-point range, and seven of 14 from the free throw line. Other leading scorers of the day include Dwyane Wade and Roy Hibbert with 30 points apiece.
Gasol's all-around effort helped propel the Grizzlies to a victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, as the Memphis center finished just three assists shy of a triple double. In 43 minutes, one of Gasol's 14 rebounds was on the offensive end. Other leading rebounders of the day include Hibbert with 13 rebounds and Greg Monroe and Alonzo Gee with 11 rebounds apiece.
In 30 minutes, Wade also contributed to the Heat win with 30 points, four rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. In 32 minutes, Jack also had 19 points and five rebounds in the Hornets loss. In 42 minutes, Evans also had 21 points, seven rebounds, and one steal in the Kings loss.
With Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, and Tiago Splitter all not playing, Leonard had an opportunity to shine statistically in one of the most lopsided losses of the season. Other leading ball stealers of the day include Wade, Greg Monroe, Marcus Thornton, and Mike Conley with three steals apiece.
Blocks: Marc Gasol, Memphis Grizzlies - 5 blocks
Gasol recorded his fourth 5+ blocks game of the season, as he has also accomplished this feat against the Houston Rockets on December 30, the Utah Jazz on January 6, and the Sacramento Kings on January 21. Other leading blockers of the day include Hibbert, Gibson, Gerald Wallace, Louis Williams, Joel Anthony, and Ben Wallace with three blocks each.
