SCHOOL: College of Southern Idaho

POSITION: Guard/Forward

HEIGHT: 6-foot-7

SCOUTING REPORT: A tumultuous year could keep NBA teams from drafting the projected shooting guard/small forward. After playing for his sixth high school in five years, Miles signed with Connecticut but never appeared in a game with the Huskies. Miles was expelled from the school in October after an arrest on three charges of violating a restraining order and another for disorderly conduct, which stemmed from alleged abuse of a female student. He subsequently transferred to the College of Southern Idaho, playing nine games and averaging a team-leading 19.1 points. During this season, allegations of recruiting violations arose concerning the Huskies’ pursuit of Miles and his relationship with former team manager-turned-agent Josh Nochimson. Before coming to Storrs, the Toledo, Ohio, native was dismissed from the Patterson School in North Carolina for academic reasons and enrolled at Connecticut at the end of June after a lengthy struggle with the NCAA Clearinghouse. He is expected to sign with an agent, which would close off a chance to return to either Southern Idaho or another Division I program. Miles’ likely route to the NBA will be either through a free agent contract or through the Development League. There’s a possibly that despite his troubles, he could appear in a training camp somewhere.
