Knicks F Thomas leaves game
LOS ANGELES (TICKER) —New York Knicks forward Tim Thomas left Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a strained left groin and will not return.
Thomas, who was acquired by the Knicks from the Clippers in a four-player trade on November 25, left Tuesday’s loss to the Golden State Warriors with the same injury.
The 31-year-old veteran tried to give it a go against his former team, but was forced to leave the game in the second quarter after scoring three points and grabbing one rebound in 4:35 of playing time.
Thomas is averaging 9.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 44 games between Los Angeles and New York this season.
