Mickael Pietrus: Iffy for Wednesday

  • Print

Update: Head coach Stan Van Gundy does not expect Pietrus (illness) to be available for Wednesday night’s game against the Suns, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Recommendation: Magic GM Otis Smith said Pietrus merely has “a cold,” but the Magic are being cautious with him due to the current flu pandemic. While Pietrus sat out on Tuesday, Vince Carter(notes) (ankle) started at small forward and J.J. Redick(notes) started in Carter’s place at shooting guard. Fantasy owners should expect the Magic to deploy the same lineup against the Suns if Carter is able to play. If Carter’s sore ankle forces him to the sideline, Matt Barnes(notes)—who has been productive in Pietrus’ absence—would likely be the team’s starting small forward.
