Warriors G Davis suspended one game by NBA

NEW YORK (Ticker) - Golden State Warriors guard Baron Davis was suspended by the NBA on Saturday for one game without pay for taking a swing at an opposing player.

The suspension was announced by NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson. Davis will sit out Saturday’s home game vs. Cleveland and lose $167,444 in salary.

Davis was suspended for swinging at Los Angeles Clippers forward Quinton Ross with 1:47 remaining in Wednesday’s 115-109 road loss.
