Spurs trade Hill for Leonard

The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to trade backup guard George Hill(notes) for the draft rights to Kawhi Leonard, the Indiana Pacers' No. 15 pick, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Hill grew up in Indianapolis and was the No. 26 pick in the 2008 draft out of IUPUI. He developed into a dependable reserve for the Spurs, averaging 11.6 points and 2.5 assists last season. The Spurs also received the Pacers' No. 42 pick in the draft, sources said.

Leonard, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward from San Diego State University, was projected by some to go in the top 10 of the draft.
