Love encouraged by recovery

  • Print

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)—Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love(notes) says he feels like he is ahead of schedule in rehabilitating his surgically repaired left hand.

Love broke his hand in the preseason and had surgery on Oct. 20. Doctors told him to expect a recovery time of six to eight weeks. But Love said on Wednesday that he is hoping to be cleared to return to practice on Nov. 20. That’s when doctors will review X-rays to check his progress.

Love is scheduled to have stitches removed on Thursday. He is hoping the swelling will start to subside and he will regain mobility in his hand soon.

Coach Kurt Rambis said it is too early to set a target date for Love to return to the court.

He was a late pickup in my fantasy draft and I think he's going to pan out well. I'm still winning with him at the end of my bench, not playing. Even though he didn't play at UO, I'm wishing him a quick recovery. Have a great year, K Love!

#16. Pot meet kettle statement if I've ever seen one. Do you know what that means or do I need to dumb it down for you?

Man, is it raining @#$% in Minnesota? Wasted a pick on Rubio, Love goes down, AJ just comes back and now is complaining about a sore Achilles. I think if AJ don't shape up he'll be like Elton Brand, big muscle guy that can't stay healthy.

It's on Flynn, Sessions, and Gomes now.

UCLABruin fans know that Kevin Love is a fantastic player with unique skills at his position, which btw should be PF in the NBA because of his shooting ability and his range. Also best outlet passer at that position. Keep and build around him. Good luck to Kurt and the T-Wolves ...

Frank P, you must be sad that Mark Madsen was released by the Clippers. You could've used him at the forward spot. Remember that nice move he had at the championship parade with the lakers?

Hey terry and ridders, do all ofus a favor. Next time you two get drunk, make sure one of you losers drive on the wrong side of the road and hit the other loser. KLove is an up and coming young player and oustanding young man. To wish him ill to boost your stupid fantasy league is just sick.

LOVE SAVES THE DAY. The guy's only 20 years old, he's the real deal, not the best but very good with a huge upside and a long career ahead of him, I'll pick him up in my fantasy league the moment some Einstein drops him, nuff said.

Al Jefferson has tendinitis. So all of you Fantasy Managers who thought an injury to Love would boost Jefferson's stats you are sadly mistaken. Read it and weep!

crap! I was looking for him to come out rocking & rolling this year... I hope he can get over this seemingly insignificant setback (e.g. non-shooting hand) and pick up where he left off last year.
