Spurs’ Ginobili has rabies shot after catching bat
Manu Ginobili(notes) has decided to stay away from bats in the future.
The San Antonio Spurs star says on his Facebook page that he had to be vaccinated for rabies after catching a bat and removing it from the court during a victory over Sacramento on Halloween.
Ginobili posted Monday that he doesn’t know if the bat had rabies but he had to get vaccinated to make sure he was safe. He also encouraged people to “avoid contact with bats, skunks, raccoons, rats and animals like that.”
The bat swooped into the AT&T Center on Saturday night and descended onto the court late in the first period. The bat circled and left only to return— briefly.
Ginobili swatted it out of the air with a bare hand and carried the creature off the court to thunderous cheers.

The reason why they gave him the vaccinations instead of testing the bat first is because of the amount of time it takes for the results to come back and the effect the potential infection could have on Manu if he waited for the tests to come back. Compound that situation further with the fact that they are currently on the road until Nov. 9 where even if he discovered he was infected on the road, team doctors wouldn't be there to treat him. I know what you're thinking "there are doctors outside of San Antonio you moron!" The team would much rather it's own doctors treat it's players. Doctors in general don't wait for tests to come back in these situations, the best decision is to treat the patient as if there is an infection. Haven't you ever been bitten by a dog?

I'm sure you'd of caught it and stuffed it up your @ss. It's just a rodent with wings right? The animal rights, hetero-flexibles make me want to vomit. You rag on Vick, but have no issues with your own types slowly suffocating rodents in their intestinal tracts.

Being infected by a bat doesn't make you Batman, it makes you a vampire. You guys are thinking of a nuclear spider and Spiderman. Get your comic books right.
Now that BatManu KillNobili is a vampire the only way to kill him is a stake through the heart.

"what manu did was nothing. If Kobe was there, would swat it to the ground, then rape that bat. "

"That bat totally flopped, Manu barely touched it."
