Courtney Lee back from injury for struggling Nets

DENVER (AP)—New Jersey guard Courtney Lee(notes) is available to play against the Denver Nuggets after missing the last seven games because of a groin injury.

Nets coach Lawrence Frank said he planned to ease Lee back into the rotation, not overplay him in an attempt to spark the struggling team, which was 0-13 going into Tuesday night’s game.

Lee is averaging 11.8 points a game this season. He was acquired by New Jersey as part of the deal that sent star guard Vince Carter(notes) to Orlando last June.

i like the trade to bad they could not have traded lawrence frank This young groop of guys need a coach that can bring out the best in players and get them to play as a unit an coach frank has shown that he allows players to take some stupid shots .no inside outside game .Maybe now carter is gone he would realise the nets would not be a jump shooting team anymore

Nets are developing a nice young core of players. Too bad the Magic didn't take Yi instead of Ryan Anderson. Without Chuck Carter hoisting up off balance jumpers there should be plenty of scoring opportunities for Brook, Devin, Courtney and Skip-to-my-Lou.. But as long as Lawrence is coaching, the Nets will continue to sprial downward... And Brooklyn will not be the Nets Final Destination, Newark will..

Lee an asset, Rafer a headache, Battie in between & Lawrence Frank a relieved coach. Good riddance to, Mr. Vince "the whimp" Carter, only a pretender & not a contender type of a guy. Pretty sure Carter, will give Dwight & his mates a joy ride just the way he did to his former teams (Nets & Raptors). After Orlando, probably he is better off playing somewhere in Russia.

GO Lee, the Next Rip Hamilton. The Nets made a pretty decent deal
