Mavs waive free-agent C Voskuhl

DALLAS (AP)—The Dallas Mavericks have waived Jake Voskuhl(notes).

The Mavs signed the journeyman free-agent center Sept. 28 and announced his release Thursday.

Voskuhl has played for five teams since entering the NBA out of Connecticut in 2000: Chicago, Phoenix, Charlotte, Milwaukee and Toronto. Over his nine-year career, the 6-foot-11, 255-pound Voskuhl averages 4.0 points and 3.4 rebounds.

The Houston native’s release leaves the Mavs roster at 15 players.
