Kings sign Ime Udoka

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP)—The Sacramento Kings have signed swingman Ime Udoka(notes) to a contract.

The team did not release terms of the deal announced Wednesday. Udoka spent the preseason with Portland before being waived last month.

Udoka is averaging 6.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game in his five-year career. He has played 227 games for the Los Angeles Lakers, New York, Portland and San Antonio.

    I thought Udoka looked really decent when Popovich let him off the bench in San Antonio. Brought skill, energy, and smarts. Was hoping he'd catch on with Portland. You could do much worse than have him to go to deep on your bench.

    Donte Green acts like a 10 year old. He should have stayed at Syracuse. If he doesn't act like a professional soon he will be out of the league.

    This makes no sense to me. I do not see how he could make a difference. Hopefully Geoff Petrie knows something we don't.

    I signed Ime Udoka in my NBA 2k10 association roster,,,and he's not leaving the bench anytime soon.

    Man, being a KIngs fan just gets harder and harder, this is the big news we get. They sign a guy who averages 6 and 3 for his career. Just what they need. Play Donte Green at least he is young and can fly.

    Wow, the Kings didn't have enough small forwards already? If they could get a special waiver from the league allowing them to play Udoka and Desmond Mason at the same time, they might actually have a pretty good player there. Cross your fingers, Kings fans!
