Bulls exercise options on Rose, Noah

  • Print

CHICAGO (AP)—The Chicago Bulls have exercised contract options on point guard Derrick Rose(notes) and forward Joakim Noah(notes) for the 2010-11 season.

The reigning Rookie of the Year and a Chicago native, Rose averaged 16.8 points and 6.3 assists last season while leading the Bulls to the playoffs after being taken with the No. 1 draft pick. An inflamed tendon behind his right ankle kept him out for most of the preseason, but he is expected to be ready for the season opener against San Antonio on Thursday.

Noah, the ninth pick in the 2007 draft, has averaged 6.7 points and 6.6 rebounds over two seasons.

I think Bulls made a big mistake to let Ben Gordon go.Therefore," our task is not to fix the blame for the past , but to fix the cause for the future" as the former US president JK Kenedy said.
My advice to Bulls is the team members have to improve their skills and be courageous with no fear of being beaten by any of those super teams.
If King David did to Giant Goliath and so Bulls can do it to any of those teams too.
We all hope for the best for Bulls this year. God Bless. Amen

bulls were thinking that they needed the extra room for the next off-season where i know we all have heard that anyone with great talent can sign with anyone. The bulls were thinking of trying to pair dwayne wade with derrick rose

Noah has played 2 years for Bulls..Comparing his stats to Rodman's stats..Noah : FG Pct: 1st yr 48.2 , 2nd yr 55.7..FT Pct : 69.1 , 67.6..Reb: 5.6 , 7.6..Blks: 0.9 , 1.4..Scoring Avg: 6.6 , 6.7..Minutes: 20 , 24.................Rodman's first 2 years....FG Pct: 54.5 , 56.1..FT Pct: 58.7 , 53.5..Reb: 4.3 , 8.7..Blks: 0.6 , 0.5..Scoring Avg: 6.5 , 11.6..Minutes: 15 , 26.........Stats are very similar..Rodman's scoring average of 11.6 in his 2nd year was his career high in scoring..He didn't start averaging double figures in rebounds until he broke into the starting lineup beginning in 90-91 season...Noah will be starting this year and his points and rebounds will go up a lot..He has all the skills and potential to average a double double in points and boards....He led Florida to back~to~back championships in college hoops..None of his teammates have done anything yet as pros..Horford starts for Atlanta and is not as good as Noah....I love Rodman..If Noah brings that kind of passion and determination to the court as Rodman did , the Bulls will be an exciting team to watch and root for

Noah is that girl we all woke up to after a heavy night of drinking. She is that "oh my god what did I do!" and a catalyst to sobriety.

Whoa, Noah is not an scoring Dennis Rodman. Noah is not even close to the caliber or type of player Rodman was please never make a comment like that ever again.

For several seasons Rodman averaged double figures in points and for most of his career averaged double figures in rebounds. Joakim Noah is nowhere near Dennis Rodman.

Good job Bulls..Noah is a scoring Dennis Rodman..Rose is the Superstar..Tyrus needs to learn to control his emotions and just focus on scoring..He tries to block everybodys shot and makes too many stupid fouls and takes himself out of the game..He is an explosive player and scorer..Deng is overrated to me..He needs to step his game up big time..Bulls gave away Ben Gordon for nothing..Now we gotta replace those 20 points..Salmons is very good..scoring and defending

ya'll crazy. noah is a def keeper. look at all the boards and d he produces. we need to keep the team as is. Miller during the off season will sign the vetran minimum and we will chase wade withdough. if not him then throw it at boozer, and if successful in getting boozer then and only then do you trade thomas and hinrich for a granger maybe or iggy!? rose, iggy/granger, deng, boozer, noah, bench: salmons, miller, johnson, gibson, and a young pg in the draft. hmmmmm sounds sweet! and deng is 23 years old have we forgotten. he's young still developing and will bounce back....

I think Noah is finally coming into his own. He's never going to be a great jump shooter but he helps the Bulls win!
