Ball Don't Lie - NBA

The children's television show "Sesame Street" premiered 42 years ago, and to celebrate that Thursday anniversary, the fine folks at Children's Television Workshop have sent us a clip of New York Knicks All-Stars Carmelo Anthony(notes) and Amar'e Stoudemire(notes) teaching and shooting away with Grover on the set of the famed PBS show:

Proving once again that "Sesame Street" is not just a show for children -- because it is hilarious. Go ahead and tell me you'd rather watch a Chuck Lorre sitcom than a good hour with Elmo, Grover, Bert and Ernie.

Well, maybe not Bert. The guy's got a bit of an attitude. Of course, his dyspeptic ways probably had as much to do with my style of writing, now that I compare our two outputs, than anyone else.

With that as the case, happy anniversary, "Sesame Street." Here's to 42 more years. Count 'em up, Count.
