YouTube of the day: 1985 slam dunk contest
A picture of the artist as a young colt, here’s Michael Jeffrey Jordan dunking twice in an unedited clip from the 1985 Slam Dunk competition, with what sounds like Chet Coppock manning the mic on the public address. Also watch out for Dominique Wilkins, Larry Nance, Terrence Stansbury (and friends) and somebody named Dr. J in this hazy classic.
The NBA is about a month and a half away from naming the 2008 competition's four participants, and NBA.com's John Schuhmann is already mulling over some possible contenders.

blog...just look at that stupid word...blog...blog BLOG BLOG BLOG...a bunch of old people think blogs are important enough to make a substantial contribution to society, but when you combine the word BLOG with the crap mr. dwyer's been littering the site with, it's hard to see how that could happen
