Ball Don't Lie - NBA

My three favorite random moments from an action-packed weekend of playoff basketball:

1. Kevin Garnett screaming and punching Leon Powe after that vicious two-handed slam over the Hawks. Seriously. Can you imagine playing board games with this guy? ("GREAT, GREAT, GREAT YAAHHHTZZZZEEEEE, RAJON!!! AAAAAARRRGHHHHH!!!!! YOU'RE AWESOME!!!")

2. TNT re-airing Deron Williams' 5th-grade yearbook page. I laugh every time I think of Jeff Van Gundy noticing D-Will's classmate, Stephen Wright, who had a blank space next to his bio's "FUTURE" line, and saying, "but what about Stephen Wright? He has no future!"

3. George Karl and his coaching staff's hilarious pre-game ritual. Observe:

I'd take this over Bill Self's "inspirational" speech before the North Carolina game. Am I the only one that watched that and thought, damn how can you get pumped up after this?

Actually, KG would be more likely to do that sort of thing in a team game like bridge. I can certainly see him chest-bumping some poor pensioner out of their chair while screaming, "GREAT RUBBER, BRO! GRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!"
Imagine him playing checkers. "KING ME, PUNK! HHROOOOAAAAAARRGHH!!" While popping the jersey, naturally.
Someone really needs to tell Kev that internalizing one's emotions isn't healthy.

Its all fluff. If Denver could learn to play some defense, something I don't think they will do in this upcoming week. When have you ever know a Denver team to play defense. Even back in the glory days of AEiou, Issel, Thompson, ect. You would think that the two leaders would understand that defense wins series as well as championships and step up and set the tone for the team. They could give the Lakers a run for their money if so. I don't think it will happen though.
