Ball Don't Lie - NBA

Warning: Minus Sir Charles, this has nothing to do with the NBA or basketball. Feel free to skip it.

On Tuesday, former NBA superstar Charles Barkley spoke with CNN about why he's at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, why he's voting for Barack Obama, and the possibility of one day running for the Governor of Alabama. As always, Chuck didn't pull many punches.

Shifting focus: I'm from Canada and I can't stop watching CNN's DNC coverage. It's incredible. Wolf's FOX-like appetite for drama and negativity, John King's magic map, Roland Martin's dance moves, the funny hats with blinking lights, Campbell Brown "reporting" while there's a speech going on in the background — it's all so surreal. Seriously, when did CNN politics become the greatest reality show on television?

Uh ohh skeets, you need to do fairness a favor now and also post something about a republican follower among NBA stars. Just so you don't get called biased. (This statement has no further relation to my personal political oppinion other than asking for justice and fairness throughout. Darn, I ain't no American, what do I care about your politics, America. Just. Vote. Correct.)

Great post Skeets. I've really been in to the Presidential race even before the primaries and believe that Obama will be a truly great president. If someone had told you five years ago that the favorite to be president would be a black man that fistjabs his wife, is a baller, and wants to build a basketball court in the White House people would have have said that you were crazy. YES WE CAN!

I think Barkley would make a great politician. He may not know as much as other politicians, but he won't pull any punches.

Wolf Blitzer is the worst at being unbiased ever. Charles Barkley has got to be the most conservative guy ever on CNN.

Barkley may have little or no political experience, speak like the uneducated dolt he is, and always have something negative to say about white people or anything else that he happens to comment on, but obviously those are all traits to get a nomination at this DNC.

CNN is nigh unwatchable. It shouldn't even be described as biased; it's just ... lazy and panders to the audience's need for infotainment instead of doing actual reporting.

I find it ironic when Chuck says that Alabama is the fattest state and people need to get back in shape.

Robin, it's sad that former 'news' networks & outlets like CNN, SeeBS, Fox, & NY Times and most others are no longer actually credible news networks, IMO, since they wholeheartedly dedicate all of their programming to pandering to their editor's chosen political stances. You can read or watch two different outlets report on the same story and get two completely different pictures of what the he1l actually happened! None of them are trustworthy or have any integrity anymore at all. My tv goes off during sweeps week when MSNBC or CNN or Fox start their 'in-depth reports' on thong bikinis, undercover prostitution investigations and their all important spring break exposes.
