YouTube of the Day: Barack Obama, three-point assassin

This video is a few weeks old, but that doesn't make it any less badass. Here's a short clip of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama droppin' trays like a clumsy waiter while visiting the troops in Kuwait. His shot isn't the prettiest I've ever seen, but it's pretty fundamentally sound. Still reminds me of Ginobili.

Now if I can just find that clip of John McCain dunking from the free-throw line ...

    It is a very ginobili like, with a slight john stockton un-centered over the shoulderness.
    Nice shot. Though is it me or does it look like a college 3 point line?

    Seriously, you are actually promoting one sided politics in a sports blog? That's fine, but you just lost a fan... If shooting 3's like GInobili makes a better president, just go and check the last WWF fighter who was governor. The "amazing" shape he left that state in after his governorship...

    Obama play basketball most daily, he even play ball in his trip in Europe and even during the primary election, this explain why Obama is in good shape.

    flabr, what's one-sided about this? skeets doesn't endorse either candidate... he just shows a basketball-related vid about obama. if there was a similar vid about mccain, i'm sure skeets would put it up too.
    come to think of it, is there any way we can throw out the entire boring election process and replace it with a giant "king of the courts" style 1-on-1 tournament?

    #3 loosen up. it's relevant because how often do you see any candidates shooting 3's. if mccain could even dribble you would likely find some video on that here too. I didnt read anything about who you should vote for, just an opinion about who you should select in a game of pick up ball. sheesh.

    Yes we definitely need a President who can shoot a 3 pointer. Because we all know the 3 point shot will solve healthcare, global warming, terrorism, AIDS and all the world's other problems.
    What's next? Dale Ellis for Secretary of State? Reggie Miller for VP? Craig Hodges for Joint Chiefs?

    Forget the White House, Obama needs to go help LeBron out in Cleveland with that outside J.
    @ Flabr: whether it's an actor, a wrestler, a singer, a housewife, a trust fund kid, or a lifelong politician...there's always a chance that a total screwup gets elected to office. Just because one guy used to play the Terminator doesn't mean he's automatically a worse politician than the guy whose dad used to be President. It could go either way

    Flabr - what the hell are you talking about? If John McCain were to shoot a three pointer at the old folks home then Skeets would put that up too. He isn't being biased. It's just a video. Maybe if Obama wins, he can ask dictators and warlords for a game of 21 to decide who wins the war. That'd be great, no more soldiers going over there for nothing.

    You must have voted for Bush, but don't worry someone will come and clean the mess up soon. Unless a three pointer contest determines the next President, don't get too worked up about it. Unless a three pointer contest does determine the next president and you are a McCain supporter...

    McCain doesnt have to proof anything, he sacrificed his body so that people like hussein obama can look good playing basketball next and in with the armada he so much dislikes. I am a former Marine, I respect Mr. MacCain... Barack Hussein Obama, His ideas are more of my concern than his skills for a basket made, Wag the dog... I am latino, I live in New York, next to a black-latino barrio... tough, and horrible. He is not the messiah....Wake up. FREE is not the answer...     be fair? its a basketball blog. if mccain likes to eat hot dogs and this was a blod about eating hotdogs then you might get mccain and no obama footage. not that big of a deal

    Anyone who thinks this has anything to do with politics clearly isnt looking at whats being said. Its just a cool novelty that a presidential candidate can shoot the three. not liking the form but he does have a good jumper.

    Come on you guys! This is about sports! What this video does show me from an election standpoint is that Obama is in decent shape. We are looking to elect a new Commander In Chief. I for one would like to know that my President is in good health and can therefore focus on turning this country around. I know that McCain is a vet and former POW. We all owe him much respect for that. What we don't owe him is the Presidency. If that is all it took then my father would have been the first Black President a long time ago!

    I know people calm down. its just a basketball shot that someone else decided to put up. its not like the Obama campaign was the ones putting this up. so stop knocking on the guy and his political views. go blog on CNN if you want to talk politics. I just think its good that he can play a sport because although it might not teach politics, it does teach leadership and hard work. the guy had a shot you know that was worked on. YOU WANT TO KNOW WHO IS GOING TO PRESIDENT NEXT ARNOLD BIXCHES! haha take it for what it is a basketball shot.
