Friday night was a record-setting night for the Cleveland Cavaliers. As they'd planned, fans throughout the Quicken Loans Arena sported Cavs-branded Snuggies for five minutes to set the world record for the largest gathering of people wearing fleece blankets. Way to go!
Except for two party-poopers — one in a Celtics jersey (huh?) and one in a Pistons Snuggie — the entire crowd was rocking their sleeved blankets like there was no tomorrow. With a Guinness World Records adjudicator in attendance to make sure the record was legit, the crowd burst in to applause as their five minute requirement counted down. Finally, their years of striving for a championship had paid off.
They said you couldn't win anything with the team you have around LeBron James(notes), but you showed them — you're a world record holder. How many teams can say that? Not very many, that's for sure.
Congratulations?
