Ball Don't Lie - NBA

Try and picture Eddy Curry on a pommel horse. Go ahead. From Wikipedia: "Prior to becoming considered one of the best high school basketball players in the nation as a senior at Thornwood High School in South Holland, Illinois, Curry aspired to be a gymnast and did not pick up basketball until the seventh grade when he reluctantly went out for the school team. According to his father, Eddy Curry Sr., 'For a long time, Eddy hated basketball. Being a gymnast was his backyard dream, I guess.'" Knowing the edit will be corrected and wanting to preserve this for posterity, I took a screenshot of the page, which appears after the jump.

Wikipedia also lists Eddy's weight at 385 pounds. He can't possibly be that big ... can he? (Thanks, Tim)

Now that Bolt has captured the 200m in World record time to show that he is for real,NBCs Bob Costas can now go back and look at the behaviour of Gattling, and Crawford at the Olympics of 2004,plus that of GreenLewis,Bolden and others that he saw celebrating in the past,if he is willing to condem all then he can speak about Bolt otherwise he Should keep quiet

"For a long time, Eddy hated basketball."
The way he plays it, I assumed he still hated it now.

Why would the edit be corrected? As far as I know, the gymnastics thing is true. It was a big story around the time he was in high school, and they mentioned it on the news in nearly every story about him.

Wow. KD says this is ACTUALLY legit: "I scouted him in 2000, and that's all anyone would ask about. Stuff like, 'what happens if you tear up your knee while not wearing shoes and doing gymnastics,' and he'd have to calmly tell people, 'I'm not doing that anymore.'"

For what it's worth, I probably only remembered because I went to Thornwood with him, and was knee deep in the Curry-mania.

If it's true, why would it be corrected? If it's not true, why write about it?

JE Skeets how come you are not in the NBA instead of playing "FANTASY" sports? Don't be a jealous hater of people that actually have made the NBA.
