Ball Don't Lie - NBA

I don't wish to alarm anyone, but— actually, no, scratch that, I kind of enjoy alarming people. It keeps everyone on their toes. So, yeah, this is an alarm. Be alarmed. Anyway, my "sources" tell me that you have just over 12 hours left to cast your vote for which rookie dunker will join Superman, Rudy Gay and Lil' Nate Rob in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. Voting ends tonight at 11:59 p.m. — sharp! (How dramatic!)

We all know Boom Tho is backing the beat-boxin' Russell Westbrook. And that KD character sure loves him some Spanish food. But I'm going to have to throw my late support behind the young Buck. Yes, I'm voting Joe Alexander. His Zidane-like creativity and cocky attitude have finally won me over.

That, and I want to see him dunk two mini-basketballs with his nostrils. Video fun, after the jump.

They dunk. You decide. Then they dunk again.

I voted for him too, i know he has no chance and even less of a chance then Russell Westbrook would have. His dunks wont be exciting enough for the crowd. Russell only being 6'3 gets more hangtime and obviously a higher vertical which makes even similar dunks look more exciting (see Nate Robinson). Joe's video was the best though, although I kinda hate the way he talks..

You should have posted the oreo cookie dunk video. I think it's his best one.

Oh, and a giant Sombrero tip to me, eh? Go, Joe. With those ears he'll sail towards the rim...

I want Joe only because I already know a lot about Fernandez and Westbrook. I know nothing about Mr. Alexander.

Isn't there some off-season junk about Alexander somewhere in this BDL archive. I'm to much a slacker to search for it. Some CaC or so...

how about next season they actually put in some guys who deserve to be there, instead of three rookies (one of them who has like 11 dunks on the year) . . . how about ronnie brewer or jr smith? (or josh smith?)

    Here's my motivation:
There's already a little guy in the competition, Nate Rob, so Westbrook doesn't need to be there.
Rudy can't really jump, I have no idea why he wants to be in the dunk contest?
Joe is a legitimate leaper, and I can't lie, I want to see a white guy in the dunk contest who will do more than just dunk from the free throw line, or embarrass himself by missing 27 straight dunks.
    Go Joe!

KD is a white man. But that's all irrelevant.
