Ball Don't Lie - NBA

From Nate Robinson's ridiculous hops, to LeBron James' Big Apple D, to Brandon Roy's clutch game winning three at the buzzer, check out the best of the best in NBATV's top 10 plays of the 2008-09 season. (Note: This goes well with a Pinot Noir — from Oregon, of course — and some couscous.)

D-Wade splitting the defense and posterizing Emeka Okafor is probably my favorite highlight, but Mr. Pollakoff at The FanHouse is right: "it's hard to argue with that Roy shot at one considering the arc on it, the distance, and the fact that it was a game-winner." So true. What a TNT Thursday night that was.

As much as I know it pains you Skeets, I think that Vince play has to be #1, if for no other reason than the look he gives after the dunk.

How bout Turkoglu's shot against Portland? Was it lucky? Yes. Was it incredible nonetheless? Yes.
That was the best game of the season so far. The Magic were down 8 with 1 min left, and Nelson, Lewis and Turkoglu all hit 3's to give Orlando a 1 point win in Portland.
What was so crazy about that game was that the Blazers played incredible for 47 minutes. Roy, Aldridge, Pryzibilla and Fernandez all took turns dominating the court for the Blazers, but the Magic stayed within striking distance the whole way, fighting off the crowd, and ending it in dramatic fashion.

Good highlights, but a couple of mundandealley-oops there. Where is J-Smoove's throwdown on Kendrick Perkins?

VC should be #1..simply because its a reverse alley oop inbounds pass dunk over his rival team to win the game. that just sounds impressive.

VC was amazing. He dunked on his former team, a team that hates him, and won the game.

the reason the roy shot is so flipin great is because 1 hes not a showboat like kobe rose wade the rest...and the BS fouls leading up to that...i.e. the yao jumper with the foul called on someone 10ft away from the ball for a and 1

What about the Derrick Rose dunk on Barbosa, or the block on Andre Miller or the ankle breaking crossover on Andre Miller? Those was far better than that Paul Pierce fadaway. He hits one of those every game.

They got it right - Roy knocking it down. They should have shown the 2 seconds before that where he hit another three, Ming's three point play, and then Roy's dagger. I love Vince's look, but gotta give it to my hometown boys - 2 of the top 10? Rip City baby!
