Video: Kobe Bryant on 'Deal or No Deal'

I know what you're thinking: 'Deal or No Deal' is still on television? Huh? Apparently it is, because a few weeks ago Kobe Bryant made a special guest appearance on the once popular game show to help that mysterious banker above entice contestant Davon Clark. Here's the clip, via The Hoop Doctors:

To recap, Kobe's sweeten-the-pot offer was two tickets to a Lakers home game, some autographed Zoom IIIs, a trip to Hawaii to watch the Lakers training camp next year, and a chance to hang out with Kobe himself after one of the exhibition games. All of that on top of Clark's $383,000 pile of TV cash.

I think he made the right call.

He's not gonna take all 383,000 because of taxes. But it's still a lot of money, with Kobe on top. Great deal!

Youngfresh, I simply responded to ivan's comment. HE felt the need to say how weak white people are, all I did was answer him.

it's amazing how this turned from a smart business decision to a dumb racial debate. some of you all are closet racists, as for #20, you're obviously a case of when stupid lives forever to believe that white men are physically weaker and black people are mentally stupider. Just because a black guy doesn't go to Harvard, that in no way makes a white guy automatically smarter. Money, race, politics, as well as connections play just as much if not more of a part in determining who advances where in society, not your IQ and SAT test. Need further proof? Look who ran America for 8 years. And he's supposed to be the figurehead for America. The smartest thing he ever did in 8 years was duck 2 shoes being thrown @ him.

In hindsight, he made a wrong choice. When you have 2 large amount of money still remaining, you still go for it. 400,000 and 1,000 still gives you above 190-210k. (which would what they have offered). That is a loss of 180,000 thousand from pushing the button, that hurts but still nothing TERRIBLE. If you pick the 400,000 suitcase, you are left with about 480-520k offer. A net gain of 100k from the original offer of 388. If you get the 1,000 dollar suitcase, you just made about 680k in total.
Yea as we saw, he made the right choice when he picked the 1,000,000 dollar case, but you go for it everytime if you are in that situation.
