I linked to this lil' nugget in this morning's 'net roundup, but it really needs to be seen to be believed. Heat gunner James Jones scored eight points in 11 seconds in Monday night's loss to the Hawks thanks to consecutive four-point plays. Seriously.
Jones drilled a three with 2:26 left in the second quarter, got fouled by Solomon Jones and swished the free throw. Then, with 2:15 left, Jones done did it again — nailing another three (from nearly the exact same spot on the floor), drew a foul on Mike Bibby and made that free throw as well. Eight points in 11 seconds. Boom.
You know who hates James Jones more than anyone this morning? The Hornets. Why? Well, if you throwaway Jones' ridiculous 11 seconds of Reggie Miller-like madness, the Heat would've finished the game with a measly 63 points. No, it's no 58-point blowout, but still ...
