Video: Hornets' rookie hazing

The Hornets hazed their rookies as an annual rite of passage (or something like that) at Saturday's open practice in Lafayette, with this year's theme being bad Beyonce karaoke in socks and sandals.

Darren Collison(notes) sang a stirring rendition of "Single Ladies" (below), while Marcus Thornton ended the show by reading "Ego" with vets David West(notes) and Julian Wright(notes) spittin' on the Rahzel ones and twos.

Not bad, not bad ... though it could have used more Batman costumes.

    nice, nice. anytime i can hear an nba player sing the line, "if you like it then you shoulda put a ring on it," i'm down.

    every professional athlete has been hazed. Pros, college and high school. They learn to love this type
